IS GOD UNHAPPY WITH PEOPLE WHO CONSUME ALCOHOL OR DRUGS? Consumption of alcohol or drugs is not bad – it is only the excessiveness that is bad. We are expected to take good care of our bodies in every way. It is up to each individual with regards to how his or her body should be taken care of and it is more of worldly ways and has little to do with anyone being pleased or displeased in the Spirit World; except that we will be held responsible for all our actions just as though we were not under any influence of drugs or alcohol. All of us are accountable for any actions that take place under influence of drugs or alcohol. We should always be in complete senses all the while so good can be done – consumption of drugs or alcohol can be good for some people for some specific reasons. We should not make excuses to drink and think this to be a good way of behaving. For example, saying that to celebrate some occasions drinking is a must. If we do have to, then we should be at good levels of drinking so that we have some sense enough to be responsible so that by losing good senses we do not harm someone. Some who do not have sufficient means to maintain their families should not become a burden to their families and they should refrain from indulging in these activities. These habits can be harmful to their loved ones and cause them pain and lose their respect. Those dealing in these and indulging in some bad practices do make God and His angels unhappy. If some people play tricks or if someone gives something which the person did not actually ask for or if someone spikes someone’s drink then such a person will be made accountable in the Spirit World and may then turn out to face punishment that one brought upon one’s self. We should not offer anything to those who show no interest in these things. Those who serve something should do so with care and if someone serves something that a person cannot consume then it is not liked by the angels and God. Those who serve should be certain of what they serve. There is no responsibility if someone is on duty to serve – for example – if someone is employed in some place to serve those who come for consuming drugs or alcohol then there can be no responsibility for such persons as long as they are serving what is asked for. Those who are actually dealers and those who are processors and those who deliver drugs are required to be dealt with in our worldly ways. Conclusion is that alcohol or drugs are not bad in themselves - but it depends on the results of indulging in them. Overindulgence is bad. Best is to stay away from these as far as possible.
