HELPING NEEDY PEOPLE AND TO WHAT EXTENT
It is very easy to be eager to help someone, but this should be done without any strings attached when we love someone and particularly when we help someone. God and His angels help all those they love, similarly we should also try to do this and help all those we love and love all those we help because only then will our good help finish its deed. We should not help someone to please God or His angels. They will only be pleased if we helped someone for the right reasons. Similarly, we should also not help someone on earth only to please this person. Therefore, we should not help anyone only for the reason of pleasing someone on earth or in the good heavens.
Again, we should only help those who need help and only to the extent that the help is required and try to love all those who ask for your help. Meaning, that we should not get annoyed with those who are asking for our help. So love and help go together only to a certain extent. At times when someone asks of our help it could be very important to that person but it may appear to be very trivial and make us not want to help. We should not do that. If we cannot do something for this soul then we should make some arrangements for this soul to get the help that this soul asked for. We should not leave it for this soul to go and seek help elsewhere. If we do this sincerely it will please God and His angels. But please do not do something only to please God or His angels – this can never happen.
We should help all those good people who are trying their level best to raise their families in a good and right way – this is the best help anyone can give on earth. This need not be done by parting of wealth – this is not at all required. God always gives good people all the wealth that they need to meet their needs. Some need other things apart from wealth. God wants all the good people to live in dignity so we should help more people to live with good dignity. We should understand that if we only think of helping people with wealth then we may sometimes not be giving some sort of help that a person actually needs. We should give help apart from wealth so that no person feels left out. It is not that those who are struggling need wealth – some may not even care for it. Some people may need physical or mental or spiritual help/comfort. Wealth is of no criteria for spiritual progress. A very wealthy person can be as close to the good angels as some person who is not at all wealthy.
God or His angels will not be pleased if people are helped only by donations and more so if these big donations are just mere fractions of some very large wealth. Yes, from such donations some good people do benefit but this is not what pleases God. If something cannot please God then it cannot please anyone in the good Spirit World.
We should look at those who seek our help with love so they feel our love and we should not think them to be of some nuisance value or a burden to us. It is only for the reason that we do real justice, it is said that we should help only those who need help or else all may keep on approaching some good people for some help every now and then, and then these people can then become real nuisance. Please think over this because, at times, this can turn out to be a hard concept to follow even though it can easily be understood.
